the clutch housing to
engine
bolts,
then
re-
move
the
housing
lower cover.
Remove the
engine
front
support
bolts.
T

ke up the
weight of
the
engine with a hoist.
Sup-
port the
transmission
with a
jack,
then move the engine
forward
to separate
the clutch
from the transmission
input shaft.

engine carefully from the
chassis.

damage
the front
end sheet
metal.
Install the engine
on
a work stand
using
the appropri-
ate
mount
(figs.
3,
4
, and
5)
.
NOTE: On
trucks
equipped with
a
302
or
332
cubic
inch
e ngine,
lower the
engine on
blocks, then remove
the
right manifold. Install the
engine
lifting
hook.,
then raise the engine and install
it
on the
work
stand.

INSTALLATION.
Install the
engine
lifting
hook(s),
take
up the
weight of the
e
ngine
with a
hoist,
then remove
the
engine
from
the work
stand.
NOTE: On
trucks
equipped with
a 302
or
332
cubic
inch
engine, remove the
engine iront
the
work
stand
and lower it on blocks.
Install
the
right ntanifold.
Install
the engine lifting
h
ooks.
Install the engine
in
the
chassis, a
ligning the transmis-
sio
n
in
put
shaft
with
the
clutch disc and pi lot
bearing.
NOTE:
After the
translnissioll
input shajt enters the
