1.4 Solid Status Drive (SSD)

SATA Flash Drive (SAFD) series is a SATA Solid State Drive (SSD) that is more rugged,
reliable and power-efficient compared to a mechanical hard drive. With no moving parts, the
SAFD Series SSD is designed for use in rugged laptops, military devices, Point of Sale (POS)
terminals, telecom, medical instruments, surveillance systems and industrial PCs.
The SSD is shown in Figure 1-6.
