8 - Track Editing

MOVE/PASTE

The audio data between the IN and OUT points on the source
track is removed and pasted on the target track from the TO
point. This operation leaves a silence between the IN and OUT
points on the source track.
This operation overwrites recorded data on the target track.
Therefore, the length of the target track is not changed.
The following parameters are used in this operation.
• SOURCE Track
• IN/OUT/TO
• TARGET Track

MOVE/INSERT

The audio data between the IN and OUT points on the source
track is removed and inserted in the target track starting from
the TO point. This operation leaves a silence between the IN and
OUT points on the source track.
This operation inserts recorded data into the target track starting
from the TO point. Therefore, the target track becomes longer.
The following parameters are used in this operation.
• SOURCE Track
• IN/OUT/TO
• TARGET Track

OPEN (Insert Silence)

This function inserts silence between the IN and OUT points on
the selected track.
This function splits the track at the IN point and shifts the
recorded data after the IN point to after the OUT point.
Therefore, the track becomes longer.
The following parameters are used in this operation.
• TARGET Track
• IN/OUT

CUT (Remove Part)

This function cuts (deletes) the audio data between the IN and
OUT points on the selected track, and shifts the remaining
recording after the OUT point forward to the IN point. Therefore,
the track becomes shorter.
The following parameters are used in this operation.
• TARGET Track
• IN/OUT
