direction of the arrow inside the Sanding Belt (33). This arrow must be consistent
with the rotation arrow on the rear Wheel (40). (See Figure A, next page.)
Read the ENTIRE IMpORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION section at the
beginning of this manual including all text under subheadings therein
before set up or use of this product.
1.
Always wear ANSI-approved safety impact goggles and a dust mask or respirator
when using this Belt Sander.
2.
Check the condition of the Sanding Belt (33) by pushing it and viewing the Belt
surface and edges. replace the Belt if it is torn or the surface is not rough.
(See Figure A.)
3.
Attach the Dust Bag (74) to the tool. (See Figure A.) Make sure Sander is
unplugged and turned off before attaching Dust Bag.
4.
Plug the Power Cord () into the nearest 120 volt, grounded, electrical outlet.
5.
Lift the Belt Sander, and squeeze the Power Switch (4). (See Figure A.)
6.
As the Sanding Belt (33) rotates, observe the Belt to ensure it is turning on-center
of the Front Cover (35). If it is not, turn the Adjusting Knob (57) left or right until
the Belt turns on-center. (See Figure A.)
