NOTE: Remove t he deckwashsystem nozzleadapter a ndoil draintubefrom the
manual b agandstoreforfutureuse.
Moving The Riding Mower Manually
Your r iding mower's transmission i sequipped witha hydrostatic reliefvalvefor
occasions w henit isnecessary t o movethe ridingmowermanually. O pening this
valvepermitsthe fluid inthe transmission t o bypass i ts normalroute,allowingthe
reartiresto"freewheel."Toopenthe hydrostatic reliefvalve,proceed asfollows:
1. Locate the hydrostatic b ypass r odinthe rearofthe ridingmower.See Figure 1.
Install Operator's Seat
Toinstallthe seatproceed asfollows:
NOTE: Theseatisshipped with the seatswitchandseatpanattached.
1. Cut a nystraps securing the seatassembly andthe drivecontrollevers to the
ridingmower.Remove a nypacking material.
NOTE: Becareful n ot tocut the wiring harness c onnecting the seatandthe
seatswitch.
2. Remove t he twoshoulder boltsandlock nutsinthe seatpanasshownin
Figure 2.

Engage the bypass rodsbypullingeachoneout (a)andto the right (b)to
lockit intoplace.See Figure 1.
Disengage t he bypass r odsbyreversing stepsa &b aftermovingthe tractor.

NOTE: Thetransmission w ill NOT engage whenthe hydrostatic bypass r odis
pulledout.Returnthe rodto itsnormalpositionpriorto operatingthe riding
mower.
Neverattempt to movethe riding mower manuallywithout first opening
the hydrostatic r elief valve. Doing sowill result in seriousdamageto the
riding mower'stransmission.
