Rollingthe Beltoffthe PTO Pulley
a. Using the decklift handle,raisethe deckto the positionthat
provides the mosthorizontal r unof the belt betweenthe deckidler
pulleys andthe PTO pulleyon the bottomofthe engine.
b.
Sittingbehindthe tractorfacingforward,reachbeneath the tractor
tograspthe belt at the front ofthe PTO pulley.
Use cautionto avoid pinchingyour fingers when rolling the belt off the
PTO pulley.
c. Pullthe left sideof the belt rearwardanddownwardwhilemanually
turningthe PTO pulleyto the rightuntil the belt ridesout ontothe
edgeofthe lowersheave of the pulley.
NOTE: If pullingthe rightsideof the belt, turnthe pulleyleft.
d. Whilestill holdingthe belt downward, c ontinueturningthe PTO
pulleyuntil the belt isrolledoff the pulley.Refer t o Figure 32.
