    DESCRIPTION CONTROLS’ LOCATION AND FUNCTION (Figure 1) HANDSET CONTROLS - Cordless Telephone Antenna RING ON / RING OFF Switch: Turns the handset ringer ON or OFF. TALK Button: Press to answer an incoming call or to place a call. Press to end a call. MEMO (Memory) Button: Used to store up to 10 telephone numbers into memory and you can then dial any of the stored phone numbers.
  • Page 11 IN USE / BATT LOW LED Indicator: Flashes when an incoming call is received and during paging condition. During TALK mode, the IN USE LED indicator remains lit steadily. The BATT LOW LED blinks when the handset battery power is low. Retainer Slot: It allows the handset to hang on the base unit.

    MOUNTING POSITION DESKTOP USE: Install and attach the wall mount bracket onto the bottom of the base at the position as shown in Figure 4. Connect the telephone line cord to the TEL LINE jack on the rear of the base unit and connect the opposite end to the telephone modular jack.

    1. Plug the adapter into a standard AC outlet. 2. Insert the small plug into the adapter jack on the rear of the base as shown in Figure 9.     You can store up to 10 telephone numbers (up to 24 digits each) into memory, and you can then dial any of the stored phone numbers. STORING TELEPHONE NUMBERS INTO MEMORY Make sure the handset is in standby mode. Press and release the MEMO button. Enter the telephone number you want to store (maximum of 24 digits).

    When the handset battery voltage level is low, the handset will emit two beeps every 1 minute while the handset BATT LOW LED indicator will flash. Return the handset on the base cradle to charge.     FROM THE HANDSET (In the Base Unit Cradle) ® When the Excursion 39606 answers a call, you will hear your OGM followed by the caller's message through the base unit’s speaker. If you decide to take the call, simply pick up the handset and press the TALK button. Begin speaking and the ICM recording is stopped.

    CHARGING ® Make sure the adapter and telephone line cord is connected to the Excursion 39606. Place the handset on the base cradle. The CHG (Charge) LED indicator of the base unit will light steadily. Leave the handset charging on the base for 14 hours continuously to get a maximum charge.
