Converting to LP or Natural Gas

Converting to LP or Natural Gas:

1. Main Orifice
2. Pilot Flame level adjustment
3. Minimum Rate screw
4. Gas setting on fuel control
Warning: Using LP gas on the Natural Gas setting on the fuel control can
cause great injury to self as well as to your heater unit. Double check that you
have the gas setting on the appropriate setting for the gas that you are using.
Caution: If you do not feel confident in performing any of these steps contact a
licensed plumber or appliance tech. to do the conversion for you.
Step 1: Remove the control access panel located on the side of the heater
using a phillips screwdriver. Locate the Brass main orifice fitting at the root of
the burner. Using a 1/2" open end wrench remove the orifice fitting and replace
it with the #50 if you are converting to LP or the #35 if you are converting to
Natural Gas.

attached on the bottom of the control with a flat head screwdriver. Lay aside
without damaging wires. Locate the Minimum Rate orifice under where the
