Convenient functions
Switching between main audio and sub audio
(DOLBY DIGITAL mode only)
When listening to audio multiplex broadcasting such as two-language
satellite digital broadcasting, the main and sub audio can be switched over.
1 Press the RCV Mode key on the remote control unit to set
it to the receiver control mode.
2 Press the Sound key while the DUAL MONO indicator
(
) is lit.
3 Use the MULTI CONTROL @ / # (or the Multi @ / # keys)
to select "DUAL MONO" on setup displays, and press the
ENTER (or the Enter key).
4 Use the MULTI CONTROL % / fi (or the Multi % / fi keys)
to select the audio.
1 "MAIN": The main audio is output.
2 "SUB": The sub audio is output.
3 "MAIN + SUB": The mixture of main audio and sub audio is output.
4 "STEREO": The left channel outputs the main audio and the
right channel outputs the sub audio.

5 Press the Sound key again to return to the input indication.
÷ If the audio multiplex broadcasting is not monaural, the audio cannot
be switched on this receiver. In this case, use the audio switching
function on the tuner.
Panorama mode
(Only when the input signal is a 2-channel signal in the DOLBY PRO
LOGIC II x MUSIC or DOLBY PRO LOGIC II MUSIC mode)
When listening to music, you will be able to enjoy the "wraparound"
sound effect when you adjust the panorama mode.
1 Press the RCV Mode key on the remote control unit to set
it to the receiver control mode.
2 Press the Sound key.
3 Use the MULTI CONTROL @ / # (or the Multi @ / # keys)
to select "PANORAMA" on setup displays, and press the
ENTER (or the Enter key).
4 Use the MULTI CONTROL % / fi (or the Multi % / fi) to
select "ON" or "OFF".
5 Press the Sound key again to return to the input indication.
Dimension mode
(Only when the input signal is a 2-channel signal in the DOLBY PRO
LOGIC II x MUSIC or DOLBY PRO LOGIC II MUSIC mode)
When listening to music with certain recordings, you will also be able to
achieve a suitable balance from all the speakers by adjusting the
dimension mode.
1 Press the RCV Mode key on the remote control unit to set
it to the receiver control mode.
2 Press the Sound key.
3 Use the MULTI CONTROL @ / # (or the Multi @ / # keys)
to select "DIMENSION" on setup displays, and press the
ENTER (or the Enter key).

4 Use the MULTI CONTROL % / fi (or the Multi % / fi) to
adjust the soundfield towards the rear or the front.

5 Press the Sound key again to return to the input indication.
Center Width mode
(Only when the input signal is a 2-channel signal in the DOLBY PRO
LOGIC II x MUSIC or DOLBY PRO LOGIC II MUSIC mode)
Center width adjustment allows you to enjoy an enchanced sound when
listening to music through center image from only center speaker, or left
and right speakers or various combinations adjustments.
1 Press the RCV Mode key on the remote control unit to set
it to the receiver control mode.
2 Press the Sound key.
3 Use the MULTI CONTROL @ / # (or the Multi @ / # keys)
to select "CENTER WIDTH" on setup displays, and press
the ENTER (or the Enter key).
÷ When the center speaker is switched OFF, this mode will
not be effective.
4 Use the MULTI CONTROL % / fi (or the Multi % / fi) to
adjust the left-center-right output.
Center image will be heard from center speaker only.

÷ When in other position, center image from center speaker,
left and right speakers can be heard simultaneously with
various combinations.
5 Press the Sound key again to return to the input indication.
