Only those oils which have b een tested and certified
by the marketer as sa tisfying th e engine operating
sequences for servic e MS should be used. (Defined
by ASTM Committee D-2 of Section G IV of Technical
Committee B and published in the SAE Handbook,
1960 Ed ition, describing minimum requirements for
API oil classification "For Service MS" ). Certified oils
are described on the container by such phra ses as:

the test requirem ents, test Sequences, MS Serv ice
Tests, Standard and service require ments of auto-
motive manufacturers for MS Service or Service MS.
