    Introduction Thank you for purchasing a RJ-6000 Series Full-color Inkjet Printer. This RJ-6000 Series is a 43-inch (1092 mm) wide, 54-inch (1372 mm) wide or 62-inch (1575 mm) wide, full-color inkjet printer equipped with 720 dpi / 360 dpi and simulated 1440 dpi resolution, that supports Centronics (bidirectional parallel interface, IEEE1284 compatible, with Nibble and ECP modes) and, optionally, Ethernet interfaces.

    • Ink cartridges should be discarded in accordance with local government regulations. IMPORTANT • When a RJ-6000 Series printer is to be used for the first time, all four colored ink cartridges must be loaded into the slots at the rear of the printer.

    NOTE • Ink drying times differ according to the type of media. 30 sec- onds is specified for RJ-6000 Series printers when shipped by Mutoh but this needs to be specified to correspond to the media. The ink drying time specifies the period from the end of printing until the media is fed out (and roll media is cut) in order to allow the ink to dry.

    Specifying the Resolution The resolution of the RJ-6000 Series at the time of output can be selected as 360 dpi, 720 dpi or simulated 1440 dpi (RTL-PASS). 720 dpi or simulated 1440 dpi gives high grade printing at near photo quality.

    High Quality Printing, Normal Printing, High Speed Printing According to the printing environment to be used, three speeds can be speci- fied for a RJ-6000 Series printer. In changing them, you should consider the resolution and printing time required for the printing.
