    MODEL 400 WOODSTOVE Amasonry chimney or a factory-built chimney must be the required height above the roof and any other nearby obstructions. The chimney must be at least 3 feet higher than the highest point where it passes through the roof and at least 2 feet higher than the highest part of the roof or structure that is within 10 feet of the chimney, measured horizontally.

    MODEL 400 WOODSTOVE 5. MASONRY CHIMNEY. Be sure a masonry chimney meets the minimum standards of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Standard 211. It must have at least a 5/8 inch/16 mm fire clay liner or a listed chimney liner system. Make sure there are no cracks, loose mortar or other signs of deterioration and blockage.
