1 General Dear Customer, We congratulate and thank you for purchasing a DITTING quality product. These operating instructions have been prepared to simplify your use of the espresso coffee grinder. They contain information, advice and instructions for the best use of your unit.

The grinder should be installed out of reach of children. Children and users must on no account reach into the openings or come into contact with electrical components. Only original grinding discs sharpened by DITTING must be used. Never reach into the hopper opening while the machine is running.
The safety instructions must be followed without fail. 1.5 Purpose Only roasted, whole espresso / coffee beans are allowed to be ground using the "KE 640" coffee grinder you have purchased. It is important to make sure that only cleaned, unground coffee beans are used.

Operating instructions 5 Set-up and basic adjustment A grinding test run is carried out on each grinder in the manufacturer's factory. This is why you may find ground material residue in the grinding mechanism!! 5.1 Usage / location Place the grinder on a level, vibration-free surface. Never operate the grinder in moist, or even worse, in wet surroundings! 5.2 Installation You have received your grinder in operating condition.
Adjust the filter support rest (item 9) to your espresso machine's filter support. Proceed as follows: Switch the KE 640 espresso grinder off using the mains switch (item 17).Use the enclosed Allen key to loosen the fastening screws (item 13) slightly and adjust the height of the filter support rest.
