19. AV Switching

AV switching on EURO 4 is performed on the
H-Board, where switching IC
This switching IC being used to feed video out to the
AV2 scart socket.
The signals fed to the H-Board for switching to by
IC3401
are:
:
RF Video
This signal is the video fed from the tuner to the
H-Board and the AV switching IC
RF video signal is then output via pin 6 of
where the signal is then fed directly to AV2 scart
socket via H1 pin 8 and E15.
:
AV2 V-Out
The signal selected for AV2 V-Out can be fed from
any of the previously mentioned inputs. This selected
signal is fed via transistor
of IC3401. Here the video signal is switched and
output via pin 6 of
IC3401
pin 8, to connector E15 of the E-Board before being
fed to AV2 video out of the 21 pin scart socket.

Those models without the previously mentioned
M-Board (non Wide Screen models) feeds the signal
selected for output via AV2 from the VDP

Here the selected video signal is passed to the
H-Board via connector H1 pin 6 from where the
video signal is fed via transistor
IC3401.
This video signal then follows the previously
mentioned processing path with the signal being
output via pin 6 of IC3401.
