In calculating the lengths of the pipes, the maximum length must also take into con-
sideration the values for the exhaust/air intake end terminals, as well as 90° elbows
for coaxial systems.
The C52 types must comply with the following requirements:
1. The discharge/intake vent pipes must have the same diameter of ø 80 mm.
2. If an elbow is inserted into the discharge/ventilation system, the calculation of the
overall extension must take into consideration the values for each curve, as indi-
cated in the table.
3. The exhaust pipe must extend at least 0.5 m above the ridge of the roof if it is
located on a side other than that for the air intake (this is not obligatory if the
exhaust and air intake pipes are located on the same side of the building).

This procedure must be done as follows:
1 - Remove the air vent intake in the area
indicated in Fig. 2.9, by breaking the
perforated ring.
2 - Use a tool to grasp the lid and remove
it completely.
3 - Clean any burrs or sharp edges with a
knife or an appropriate tool.
