Suspending Pairs - HP StorageWorks XP24000 User Manual

1. Execute the PPRC CSUSPEND command or the ICKDSF PPRCOPY SUSPEND command.
If you perform the CSUSPEND or PPRCOPY SUSPEND command on a pair in a CTG, the
command effects all pairs in the CTG. If you perform the command on a pair which has
already been split, no errors will occur.
2. Make sure that the pair status is Split by using the CQUERY or the PPRCOPY QUERY
command.
3. Hosts can access the data in the SIz T-VOLs.
To resynchronize pairs in the same CTG
1. Resynchronize SIz pairs by using the PPRC CESTPAIR command or the ICKDSF PPRCOPY
ESTPAIR command.
If you perform the CESTPAIR or PPRCOPY ESTPAIR command on a pair in a CTG, the
command will effect all pairs in the CTG.
If you perform the command on a pair which has not been split, no errors will occur.
2. Use the CQUERY command or the PPRCOPY QUERY command to make sure that the
pair status is Pending or Duplex.
To delete pairs in the same CTG
1. Delete SIz pairs by using the PPRC CDELPAIR command or the ICKDSF PPRCOPY DELPAIR
command.
If you perform the CDELPAIR or PPRCOPY DELPAIR command on a pair in a CTG, the
command will effect all pairs in the CTG.
2. Use the CQUERY command or the PPRCOPY QUERY command to make sure that the
pair status is Simplex.

Suspending Pairs
