method, see your Honda dealer.

Other checks
Check the brake cable for kinks or signs of wear that
could cause sticking or failure.
Lubricate the brake cable with a commercially available
cable lubricant to prevent premature wear and
corrosion.
Make sure the brake arm, spring and fasteners are in
good condition.

(A) Decrease free play
(B) Increase free play
Rear Brake
Adjustment
1. Place the motorcycle on its side stand.
2. Measure the distance the rear brake pedal (1)
moves before the brake starts to take hold.
Free play should be: 20 – 30 mm (0.8 – 1.2 in)

3. If adjustment is necessary, turn the rear brake
adjusting nut (2).
