Installation notes
Reverse the removal procedure.
1. Insert the axle through the wheel hub and right fork
leg.
Make sure that the lug (8) on the left fork leg is
located in the brake panel.
2. Tighten the axle nut to the specified torque.
Axle nut torque:
62 N·m (6.3 kgf·m, 46 lbf·ft)
3. Adjust the brake (pages 18 and 19).
After installing the wheel, apply the brake several
times and check for free wheel rotation when released.
If a torque wrench was not used for installation, see
your Honda dealer as soon as possible to verify proper
assembly. Improper assembly may lead to loss of
braking capacity.

Rear Wheel Removal
1. Raise the rear wheel off the ground by placing a
support block under the engine.
2. Remove the rear brake adjusting nut (1), disconnect
the brake rod (2) from the brake arm (3) by pushing
down on the rear brake pedal.

3. Disconnect the brake stopper arm (4) from the
brake panel by removing the cotter pin (5), stopper
arm nut (6), washer and rubber grommet.
4. Loosen the drive chain lock nuts (7) and adjusting
nuts (8).
5. Remove the axle nut (9) and pull out the rear axle
shaft (10).
Push the wheel forward and remove the drive chain
from the rear sprocket.
6. Pull out the wheel from the swingarm.
