    DESCRITPION 1.2 Introduction 1.2.1 The Aroma 4000 specialty coffee maker The Aroma 4000 specialty coffee maker is a fully automatic coffee making machine which, in the basic version, can dispense pre-programmed coffee products through a height-adjust- able product outlet into the container. The beverage required is selected via twelve beverage selection buttons.

    2.2.1.2 Aroma 4000 specialty coffee maker The Aroma 4000 specialty coffee maker is used solely to dispense coffee products, coffee and milk combined products, hot chocolate and hot water. No other use of The Aroma 4000 specialty coffee maker will be deemed to be proper.

    WARNING Don’t try to operate The Aroma 4000 specialty coffee maker in case of presence of internal damages. Even if the damages are minimal, it’s strongly recommended to leave the unit disconnected from the power supply and call the technical service.

    INSTALLATION 3.1.4 Water connection On the back of The Aroma 4000 specialty coffee maker is located the inlet water valve that permit the connection of the machine to the direct water line. With this connection is not necessary to fill the internal water tank by hand.

    INSTALLATION 3.2.2 Turning ON the unit and initial heating Turn on the unit by the main switch situated on the back of The Aroma 4000 specialty coffee maker. The message CAUTION Filling Water will appear on the LCD display. C A U T I O N Filling Water This means that the inlet water valve of the machine is filling the heater with cold water.
  • Page 24 Once the first cleaning cycle is finished REMOVE the switch locker from The Aroma 4000 specialty coffee maker. Open the door and hold pushing the red button showed on the picture below, till the cleaning cycle starts.

    Once the cleaning cycle is finished, the message Wait for Heating will come back on the LCD display of The Aroma 4000 specialty coffee maker. Wait for Heating When the message Select a Drink will appear on the LCD display, The Aroma 4000 specialty coffee maker is ready to work. Select a Drink Close the front door and place your cup on the cup holder of the drip tray.

  • Page 37 P R O G R A M Drink TEST =N This function allows the operators to dispense drinks from The Aroma 4000 specialty coffee maker, without increasing the drink counters, and without insert money ( if a coin mechanism is connected). It is possible to enable or disable the switch, with YES or NO, using buttons 1 or 2.
  • Page 38 This function allows the operators to weight the amount of soluble powder used fro each drink. Turning this function on YES , the AROMA 4000 will dispense the powder from the canisters during the drink, without having the water coming into the mixing bowl. In this way will be possible to take off the mixing bowls and catch the powder used for a drink, into a cup or a small container.

    This function is a safety solution to prevent over flow of water from the machine in case of malfunction of the inlet water valve. The Aroma 4000 specialty coffee maker has two different protection against the water over flow. The first is a mechanical device and the second is a time out operated by this function.
