Updating the Software

Your telephone's software can be updated. Please ensure that your telephone's software is always
updated so as to avoid any problems in using your Comfort Pro CM 300 handset with your communi-
cations system.
You must install the USB driver for the Comfort Pro CM 300 handset before updating your soft-
ware.
• If the CAPI driver for the Comfort Pro CM 300 handset is not on your PC, you will have to install the
USB driver for the Comfort Pro CM 300 handset before updating the software. Install the USB driver
to your hard disk before connecting the Comfort Pro CM 300 handset to your PC. From the product
CD, start the setup program "setup.exe" located in the "Telekom\CPCM300-USB" directory. Follow
the Installation Assistant's instructions. Now connect the Comfort Pro CM 300 handset to your PC
using the USB cable. The Windows operating system will recognise new hardware at the USB port
and will start the Assistant to search for new hardware. The Assistant will find the necessary driver
files automatically in the "C:\Program Files\DectPhoneDriver" directory.
The complete installation is done in two stages, i.e. the Assistant will do two searches for new hard-
ware.
After installing the USB driver you can continue updating the software for your Comfort Pro CM 300
handset.
Start the program to update the software for your Comfort Pro CM 300 handset. This program is
also on the CD provided with the system. You will see the following screen:
