The printer uses UV-curable inks. A set of ultraviolet lamps attached to the gantry provides curing of the UV ink on the media. The Arizona T220UV must be operated in accordance with certain environmental and safety requirements noted in this document and detailed in the Arizona T22oUV User Guide.

AC Power 2.2.1 The Arizona T220UV requires two 3 Phase AC power circuits. One dedicated to the printer and the second dedicated to the vacuum pump. It is the customer’s responsibility to hire a qualified electrician to provide electrical service to the printer and pump assemblies. Both the printer and vacuum pump come equipped with panel mount inlet connectors.

Operating Conditions 2.4.1 The Arizona T220UV will operate at an optimum level if it is in a controlled environment. The area where the printer is installed should be reasonably free of dust and other airborne particles (for example, the printer should not be placed in an area where routers, sanders or trimmers are used).
Environmental Requirements | Heat Removal The lamps that dry the UV ink on printed media on the Arizona T220UV can produce up to 15,000 BTU per hour (4400 watts). The printer will operate to specification in an ambient temperature of 20ºC to 27ºC (68º to 80º F). Depending on the print room size an air conditioning system may be necessary in order to maintain the ambient temperature.
