Muting a Call

46 Using Your 9570 Portable Dock
You can mute an active call if you need privacy. You
will be able to hear the party on the other end, but
he or she will not hear you.
Whenever you mute a call, the green Mute LED on
the 9570 Portable Dock lights steadily.
Muting a Speakerphone Call
To mute a speakerphone call:
Press the \ button on the
9570 Portable Dock.
Note: If you pick up the corded handset now, the
call is automatically unmuted, and switches to
privacy mode.
To unmute the call:
Press \ again.
Muting a Private Call
To mute a private call:
Press the \ button on the
9570 Portable Dock.
Note: If you replace the handset in its cradle now,
the 9570 Portable Dock automatically unmutes the
call and switches to speakerphone mode.
To unmute the call:
Press \ again.
