BATTERY AND CHARGER SAFETY WARNINGS THIS MANUAL CONTAINS IMPORTANT SAFETY AND OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS FOR YOUR BATTERY CHARGER. • Before using the charger read all instructions and cautionary markings on the charger, battery pack and the product using the battery pack. Danger! If the battery pack case is cracked or damaged, do not insert it into charger.
BATTERY AND CHARGER SAFETY WARNINGS • The longest life and best performance can be obtained if the battery pack is charged when the air temperature is between 18 - 24ºC. Do not charge the battery pack in an air temperature below 10ºC or above 40ºC. This is important and will prevent damage to the battery pack.

LITHIUM ION BATTERY AND CHARGER SAFETY Over Charging Protection This feature ensures that the battery (6) is never overcharged. When the battery (4) has reached its full charge capacity the charger will shut off protecting the internal components of the battery (6) from being damaged. Over Discharge Protection The battery (6) includes an over discharge protector.

CHARGING YOUR LITHIUM ION BATTERY (cont.) Subsequent Charges • After normal usage, approximately 3-5 hours of charging time is required to fully recharge the battery (6). • If the battery (6) is completely discharged, 5 hours or longer of charging time will be required to fully recharge it.

IMPACT DRIVER OPERATION (cont.) Changing the direction of rotation • The direction of rotation can be changed with the forward/reverse selector (3). This is located above the variable speed trigger switch (2) (Fig. 13). • To select the forward driving or tightening position, push the forward/reverse selector (3) hard left.
