video at 1 D8Di specifica.tions for recording
with a progressive frame rate of 3D fps.
You can use this setting to easily edit your
recordings, for example, to post them on
the Web.

HDV(PF24)): High-definition
video at 1 D8Di specifications for recording
with a progressive frame rate of 24 fps.
[IiHoVS24F
HDV(24F)]: High-definition
video at 1 D8Di specifications for recording
with a native progressive frame rate of 24
fps. Video output from the HDV/DV
terminal will be 24p so this setting is ideal
for editing 24p video. (During
playbac~,
"24F" appears on the screen.)

video with 16:9 aspect ratio.

video with 4:3 aspect ratio.
• We recommend not mixing recordings
made in different video standards on the

The image stabilizer compensates for
camcorder shake even at full telephoto.
• The image stabilizer is designed to
compensate for a normal degree of
camcorder shake.
• The image stabilizer may not be
effective when recording in dark places
using the [!] NIGHT] recording program.
• The image stabilizer cannot be turned
off when the mode switch is set to
tmID.
• We recommend setting the image
stabilizer to [1m OFF] when using a
tripod.
