Instrumentation and Controls
PLAYING A COMPACT DISC
Use the volume, tone, and speaker
controls just as you do for the
radio. Other controls may have
different functions when a disc is
inserted.
Rotate the knob to the right or
left to go to the next or previous
track.
(Rewind): Press and hold this
button to rewind quickly through
a track selection.
(Forward): Press and hold this
button to fast forward quickly
through a track selection.
To move ahead to the beginning
of the next track, press the SEEK
| button. To restart the current
selection if it has been playing for
more than eight seconds, or to
play the previous selection, press
the | SEEK button.

If you hold the button down, or if
you press it more than once, the
player will continue moving rear-
ward or forward through the disc.
Press and hold either SCAN arrow
for more than two seconds (until
SCAN appears on the display and
you hear a beep) to sample a few
seconds of the beginning of each
track on the disc.
Press it again to stop the scanning
function.
Press RDM to play the tracks
randomly rather than in sequence.
RANDOM DISC PLAY will appear
on the display. Press it again to
stop this function.
Press RPT to listen to a selection
again. The current selection will
continue to repeat. REPEAT will
appear on the display. Press this
button again to turn off repeated
play.
