8-2. Caterpillar Customer Assistance

Service
When a problem arises concerning the op-
eration or service of the engine, the prob-
lem will normally be managed by the dealer
in your area.
Your satisfaction is a primary concern to
Caterpillar and to Caterpillar dealers. If you
have a problem that has not been handled
to your complete satisfaction, follow these
steps:

Discuss your problem with a manager
from the dealership.
Every 500 h
Replace Secondary
(Canister) Fuel Filter.
See Section 8-9.
Every 1000 h
Check Radiator
Fluid Level. See
Section 5-6.
Blow Out Or
Vacuum Inside.
During Heavy
Service,
Clean Monthly.

If your problem cannot be resolved at
the dealer level without additional
assistance, call a Field Service
