The ringing signal character can be adjusted with two
different characters: bass and treble. Adjust the ringing signal
character using the slide switch.
On the Ericsson Basic telephone:
Slide to change the character
On the Ericsson Medium telephone:
Slide to change the character
On delivery, your telephone is set to tone dialling mode.
To find out if you can use tone dialling, proceed as follows:
Lift the handset and dial the number
The usual way of making an outgoing call. If the call goes
through, you don't have to change your telephone to pulse
dialling.
If, however, the dial tone continues without interruption
when you start to dial the number, you are connected to an
exchange/PBX that requires pulse dialling and you need to
set it to pulse dialling.

Note: Slide switch is slightly different on the Ericsson Medium
telephone.
Note: You can also temporarily switch your telephone to tone
dialling, see section "During calls".
