Audio/Video (A/V) Jacks and Cable
Audio/Video (A/V) cables provide very good picture quality and stereo sound. The DIRECTV®
Receiver's A/V jack is a 10-way mini DIN connector. The A/V cable supplied is fitted with a 10-way
Mini DIN plug and DIRECTV

mini DIN plug on one end and color coded video and audio plugs on the other end (yellow for video,
red for right audio and white for left audio). If your TV has only one input for audio (mono), connect
the left (white) audio plug to it.
RF Jack and Coaxial Cable (F-type)
An RF jack is used to connect the DIRECTV® Receiver to your satellite dish or feed connection.
The RF jack on the DIRECTV® Receiver is labeled SAT IN. Note: Be sure to use RG-6 coaxial cable
RCA plugs and TV jacks
when connecting from the satellite dish to the DIRECTV® Receiver.
