Off-hook Transmission (External Telephone Dialing)

Tips
• The optional external telephone is required.
• You can specify the remote FAX using only the external telephone.

Press the key.

Place the original.
• For details on how to place originals on the original glass.

• Only one original sheet can be sent when scanning an
original on the glass.
3 Set the scanning conditions. (

4 Pick up the handset of the External Telephone.

Enter the remote FAX number using the keypad of
the External Telephone.
6 When you hear the answering tone output from the
External Telephone after the connection is made with
the remote FAX, press the

Press the key. (Select "1.TRANSMIT".)
• For scanning on the glass, setting for the original size is
required here. (e-STUDIO16 only.

When you hear the digital copier switch the phone
line, replace the handset of the External Telephone.
