3.5 INSTALLATION OF DEVICE DRIVERS

There is a CD which comes with the mainboard. The CD contains the device
drivers which is necessary when installing the mainboard. Please refer to the
following procedures to install the device drivers.
1. When you have installed the operation system, you will have to install some
device driver of the mainboard so that it will work normally.
2. Insert the CD diskette into the CD ROM Drive ( suppose it is "D:") which
comes with the mainboard
3. Change the directory to D:\Driver\mainboard\Intel\815\inf"
4. Double click on the program –"InfInst-autol.exe" and the program will install
the related device drivers for the mainboard automatically.
Note:
The sequence of the device driver is very important, please
follow the procedures above to install the related device driver.
Note: You have to run "InfInst-autol.exe" to install the related device driver when
you are using the Windows 95/98 operation system. If you are using the
operation system like Windows NT and Windows 2000, you need not to install
the device driver because it is supported by these operation systems already.
5. Change the directory to "\Driver\mainboard\Intel\815\VGA" and then choose
the operation system to install the device driver of the onboard VGA
interface.
6. Install the device driver for the on board audio interface.
The codec (see the following picture) installed on the board can be different
and they will need the different device driver. Please refer to the following to
install the correct device driver:
