3D Phonic
3D Phonic function allows you to get a simulated surround
effect from your stereo system. You can enjoy the vertical
surround sound with your 2-channel stereo system.

Access the selection menu.
Press 3D-PHONIC during playback.
The current setting appears on the top left corner of the TV
screen.

Select the mode.
Press 3D-PHONIC
repeatedly, then press OK.
Each time you press 3D-PHONIC, the setting changes as
follows:

:
Suitable for action movies and sports
programs in which sounds dynamically
move.
DRAMA
:
Provides the natural and warm sound. You
can enjoy movies in a relaxed mood.
THEATER
:
You can enjoy sound effects like in a major
theater in Hollywood.
OFF
:
No effect
The selection menu disappears automatically if you do not
change the selection for 5 seconds.
NOTES:
The 3D Phonic function works correctly only when playing
back a DVD VIDEO disc recorded in the Dolby Digital format.
With other sources, you cannot get any effect if you activate
3D Phonic function.
When playing back a DVD VIDEO disc recorded with the
Dolby Digital that does not contain the rear signal, you cannot
get a correct 3D Phonic sound even if you activate 3D Phonic
function.
The 3D Phonic function does not affect the Dolby Digital
bitstream signal from the DIGITAL AUDIO OUT connector.
When you use the 3D Phonic function, it is not possible to set
"DOWN MIX" or "COMPRESSION". (
To turn off the 3D Phonic display manually, press OK.
With a Video CD disc, if the Audio setting is set to L or R, you
cannot activate the 3D Phonic function and the 3D Phonic
mode is fixed to off.
Conversely, when the 3D Phonic function is activated,
changing the audio setting to L or R from STEREO cancels the
3D Phonic function.

Press DVD PICTURE during playback.

screen.

Select the mode.
Press DVD PICTURE
repeatedly.
Each time you press DVD PICTURE, the theater mode changes
as follows:
THEATER1]THEATER2]THEATER3]THEATER OFF
](Back to the beginning)
"THEATER OFF" is the normal position. Select higher numbers
to enhance the effect. Playback will be more subdued, with a
lower brightness level.
The selection menu disappears automatically if you do not
change the selection for 5 seconds.
