1-1-2. Preparations

Note 1: For details of how remove the cabinet and boards, refer to "2.
DISASSEMBLY".
Note 2: When performing only the adjustments, the boards need not be
disassembled.
1) Connect the equipment for adjustments according to Fig. 5-1-5.
2) Connect the Adjustment remote commander to control switch
block (FK) CN002 via CPC-9 jig (J-6082-393-C, Note3). (See
Fig. 5-1-4.) To operate the adjustment remote commander,
connect the power supply terminal of CPC-9 jig to the DC power
supply (6.0 to 7.2Vdc).
Note 3: The old CPC-9 jig (Parts code: J-6082-393-B) cannot be used,
because it cannot operate the adjustment remote commander.
Note 4: Setting the "Forced Power ON Mode (Forced STILL Mode)"
1) Select page: 0, address: 01, and set data: 01.
2) Select page: D, address: 10, set data: 01, and press the PAUSE
button of the adjustment remote commander.
Note 5: Setting the "Forced Power ON Mode (Forced PLAY Mode)"
1) Select page: 0, address: 01, and set data: 01.
2) Select page: D, address: 10, set data: 02, and press the PAUSE
button of the adjustment remote commander.
The above procedure will enable the power (PLAY mode) to be
turned on. After completing adjustments, be sure to exit the
"Forced Power ON Mode".
Note 6: Exiting the "Forced Power ON Mode"
1) Select page: 0, address: 01, and set data: 01.
2) Select page: D, address: 10, set data: 00, and press the PAUSE
button of the adjustment remote commander.
3) Select page: 0, address: 01, and set data: 00.

1-1-3. Discharging of the strobe power supply

The capacitor which is used as power supply of strobe is charged
with 200V to 300V voltage. Discharge this voltage before starting
adjustments in order to protect service engineers from electric shock
during adjustment.
Discharge procedure
1.
Press the FLASH button (Control switch block (FK) ) and turn
off the FLASH LED (Control switch block (FK) ).
2.
Fabricate the short jig as shown in Fig. 5-1-3 locally by yourself.
Connect the short jig to the positive (+) and negative (-) terminal
of the flash voltage charge capacitor. Allow ten seconds to
discharge the voltage.
