INSPECTION
Measure the brake lining thickness.
SERVICE LIMIT: 2.0
mm
(0.08 Inl
Replace the brake 'inings as set
if
either lining is thinner than
the service 'imit.
NOTE
Contaminated brake linings reduce stopping power.
• Keep oil or grease off the 'inings .
Inspect the brake drum for wear or damage.
Replace if necessary.
Measure the brake drum I.D .
SERVICE LIMIT: 131 .0 mm 15. 15 inl
Replace if necessary.
DISASSEMBLY
Expand and remove the brake shoes and springs.
NOTE
Mark the brake shoes to indicate their original positions
before removing them.
'86 :
Remove
the
adjuster. nut , bolt. brake arm, wear indicator
plate, felt seals and spring.
Remove the brake cam .
