Maintenance, Cleaning and Repair

This section describes cleaning and storing the MC75A-NI, as well as possible procedures when problems occur
while using the MC75A-NI.
Maintenance
For trouble-free service, observe the following tips when using the MC75A-NI:
Do not scratch the screen of the MC75A-NI. When working with the MC75A-NI, use the supplied stylus or
plastic-tipped pens intended for use with a touch-sensitive screen. Never use an actual pen or pencil or
other sharp object on the surface of the MC75A-NI screen.
A screen protector, p/n KT-67525-01R, is applied to the MC75A-NI. Motorola recommends using this to
minimize wear and tear. Screen protectors enhance the usability and durability of touch screen displays.

The touch-sensitive screen of the MC75A-NI is glass. Do not to drop the MC75A-NI or subject it to strong

Do not store or use the MC75A-NI in any location that is dusty, damp, or wet.
Use a soft lens cloth to clean the MC75A-NI. If the surface of the MC75A-NI screen becomes soiled,
clean it with a soft cloth moistened with a diluted window-cleaning solution.

Pay attention that the scan window is not scratched. Clean the window regularly. Dust, contaminants and
scratches on the scan window can lead to visible spots on the pictures taken with the scanner.
The battery should be completely charged before it is used for the first time. Note that the maximum
capacity of the battery is not attained until after approx. 5-6 charging and discharging cycles.
