TROUBLESHOOTING

Check the main fuse, signal fuse, carburetor heater
fuse and ignition fuse.
Refer to "FUSE INSPECTION" in CHAPTER 2.
FAULTY
OK
Check the battery.
Refer to "BATTERY INSPECTION" in CHAPTER 2.
OUT OF SPECIFICATION
OK
Check the stator coil.
Refer to "CHARGING SYSTEM".
OUT OF SPECIFICATION
OK
Check the main switch.
Refer to "IGNITION SYSTEM".
NO CONTINUITY
OK
Check the carburetor heater relay.
NO CONTINUITY
OK
Check the carburetor heater.
INCORRECT
CORRECT
Check the coolant temperature sensor.
Refer to "SIGNAL SYSTEM".
FAULTY
OK
Check the load control relay.
Refer to "IGNITION SYSTEM".
FAULTY
OK
Check the carburetor heater system's wiring.
Refer to "CIRCUIT DIAGRAM".
FAULTY
OK
Correct the connection and/or replace the rectifier/
regulator and/or the ignitor unit.
CARBURETOR HEATER SYSTEM
CARBURETOR HEATER DO NOT OPERATE.

Replace the main fuse, signal fuse, carburetor
heater fuse and/or ignition fuse.
Replace and/or charge the battery.
Refer to "BATTERY INSPECTION" in CHAPTER
2.
Replace the stator coil and pickup coil assembly.
Replace the main switch.
Replace the carburetor heater relay.
Replace the carburetor heater.
Replace the coolant temperature sensor.
Replace the load control relay.
Properly connect or repair the carburetor heater
system's wiring.
