Paper Handling

Selecting a Paper Source

Your printer can print on a wide variety of paper types, including
single sheets, continuous paper, multipart forms, labels,
envelopes, postcards, overlapping forms, and continuous forms
with labels.
c
Caution:
Do not use paper that is folded (except envelope flaps), creased,
curled, torn, stained, or stamped. Always use new, clean paper
that meets the paper specifications. See "Paper" for more detailed
information.
Your printer can accommodate various paper types through three
paper sources: paper guide, tractor, or optional cut-sheet feeder.
You should select the paper source depending on the type of
paper you are using. You can select the paper source by pressing
the Paper Sour ce button on the control panel. See "Buttons and
Lights" for more information. You can also select the paper source
from the printer driver.
Depending on the paper source, the printer prints on the paper
and then ejects it differently as shown below.
