Connect the ACU to the Network

13
This section details the ACU's default network
settings, other available options, and methods for
changing settings. When the TracVision system is
connected to the vessel's onboard network, or
you connect to the TracVision HD7 system using
an ad-hoc WiFi connection, the following
features are enabled:
• Remote operation of the TracVision HD7
system
• Remote viewing of the system's status,
including current satellite signal levels,
satellite settings, and other system
information
NOTE: When setting up a wireless network, be sure
to apply security settings, such as encryption, to
protect your network from outside intrusion. If your
network is not secure, outsiders within range of your
wireless network will be able to use your wireless
connection without your knowledge.
TIP: The ACU is Bonjour
connected to the vessel's onboard network, you can use
Bonjour to easily connect to the ACU using a PC on
the same network, without requiring the IP address.
The ACU is displayed in Bonjour as: hd7-<ACU
serial number>. For more information, visit
