The liners are fitted into the cylinder block with their 'flats' i n a front-to-rear
line. When replacing liners i n the cylinder block, they
MUST FIRST
be fitted
clean and
dry,
and pushed fully into their locations. A t this point, the liner
'nip' should be checked; the
'nip' i s the height of the
liners
ABOVE
the cylinder
block
face and the height
of the l i n e n i n relation t o
each other (see TECHNICAL
DATA).
