Tools and Parts

Gather the required tools and parts before starting installation.
Read and follow the instructions provided with any tools listed
here.

Phillips screwdriver
Pipe wrench
Adjustable wrench
6 mm socket and wrench or 6 mm nut driver
10 mm wrench
Deep 10 mm socket and wrench or 10 mm nut driver
Thin flat-blade screwdriver
Pliers
Pipe thread sealant certified for LP gas
Parts supplied
4 - 2.34 mm drill size orifices - Main burners/Infrared Sear
Burner
2 - 1.9 mm drill size orifices - Side burners
2 - 1.55 mm drill size orifices - Models with dual Infrared
Rotisserie burners 10K
1.9 mm drill size orifice - Models with single Infrared
Rotisserie burner 15K
Brass elbow
Convertible regulator 4" W.C. Natural, 11" W.C. LP
IMPORTANT: Gas conversions from LP gas to Natural gas must
be done by a qualified installer. Before proceeding with
conversion, shut off the gas supply to the appliance prior to
disconnecting the electrical power.
Depending on the KitchenAid grill model you have purchased and
the number of burners provided, there may be extra parts left
after conversion. The kit is designed to cover all sizes of grill
models.
This kit is designed for use from sea level up to 2000 ft elevation.

WARNING
Explosion Hazard
Use a new CSA International approved "outdoor"
gas supply line.
Securely tighten all gas connections.
If connected to LP, have a qualified person make sure
gas pressure does not exceed 11" (28 cm) water
column.
Examples of a qualified person include:
licensed heating personnel,
authorized gas company personnel, and
authorized service personnel.
Failure to do so can result in death, explosion, or fire.

Conversion from LP Gas to Natural Gas

Installation of the regulator
1. Turn off the main gas supply valve.
2. Unplug grill or disconnect power.
3. Disconnect LP tank (if present).
4. Turn off all burner control valves.
5. Remove rear cover and 2 screws.
