Engine Lifting Provisions

Engines are equipped with a lifting eye at the front and the rear. Use a suitable sling with
the proper weight rating when lifting the engine.
CAUTION
!
NOTE: 8.1L (496 cid) engines require alignment hook (91-863375-1).

Engine Oil Dipstick Relocation

Some models are equipped with an oil dipstick in the port and starboard dipstick tubes. If
only one dipstick is present and the engine is equipped with two dipstick tubes, you may
relocate the oil dipstick.

Dipstick option 1
Remove the rubber cap from the dipstick tube.
Remove the oil dipstick and insert it into the opposite dipstick tube.
Place the rubber cap over the dipstick tube that is not being used.
