FRITZ!Box Fon WLAN 7170 – 6 USB Devices
The AVM FRITZ!WLAN USB Stick is a WLAN adapter for con-
nection to a computer. Using this WLAN adapter you can con-
nect the computer wirelessly with any FRITZ!Box Fon WLAN.
AVM Stick & Surf Technology
With this technology, the AVM FRITZ!WLAN USB Stick can be
inserted in the FRITZ!Box Fon WLAN USB host controller to
automatically transmit the WLAN security settings from the
FRITZ!Box Fon WLAN to the AVM FRITZ!WLAN USB Stick.
Insert the Stick in the port on your FRITZ!Box Fon WLAN
for the USB host controller.
The "INFO" LED on the FRITZ!Box Fon WLAN begins
flashing rapidly. The WLAN security settings are being
transferred to the AVM FRITZ!WLAN USB Stick.
As soon as the "INFO" LED stops flashing, transmission
of the settings has been concluded. You can now re-
move the stick.
After the security settings have been transmitted automati-
cally, you can insert the AVM FRITZ!WLAN USB Stick in a com-
puter and establish a connection to the WLAN access point.
No manual settings are necessary.
A USB hub can be connected to the USB host controller. A
USB hub is a device to extend existing USB ports.
You can connect two USB mass storage devices and one USB
printer, or three USB mass storage devices (like a hard drive
or memory stick) to the USB hub.
If more than one USB device without its own power supply is
connected to the FRITZ!Box Fon WLAN, please note that, in
accordance with the USB specification, the total current con-
sumption may not exceed a value of 500 mA.
