Connecting a USB cable to the USB host controller
USB mass storage devices include hard drives and memory
sticks.
File Systems Supported
The USB host controller supports the mass-storage file sys-
tems FAT and FAT32.
Connecting the USB Mass Storage Device
A USB mass storage device can be connected either directly
to the USB host controller, or via the USB hub (see the sec-
tion "USB Hub" on page 54).
Configuring Access Rights and Password Protection for the
USB Mass Storage Devices
On the FRITZ!Box Fon WLAN 7170 user interface you can con-
figure access rights and a password to protect the USB mass
storage devices.
1.
Open a web browser on one of the computers connect-
ed to the FRITZ!Box Fon WLAN 7170.

Open the FRITZ!Box Fon WLAN 7170 user interface (see
the section "Opening the User Interface" from page 33).
