The Importance of Cooking Ventilation

The main purpose of cooking ventilation is to capture the
by-products of cooking. These by-products are heat, steam,
smoke, odor, hazardous gases, and grease. Without proper
cooking ventilation, these by-products can cause a great deal
of harm to the home. Vent-A-Hood
all cooking by-products to the outside with the exception of
GREASE, which is collected by the blower system.

The Vent-A-Hood K250HSS2 ventilation hood uses a Magic Lung® blower, which does not have conventional baffle or mesh filters. Instead, it uses centrifugal filtration to collect grease. Since there is no removable filter, regular maintenance involves cleaning the blower system rather than replacing a filter. To clean the blower, turn off the power at the service panel, remove the blower housing, and wipe away grease buildup.
