TOWING A VEHICLE
WARNING
Failureto understand and follow these guidelines as
presented in this section could result in damage to
the motor home frame or body, could cause unstable
. driving and handling characteristics, and will restrict
your warranty coverage.
CAUTION
Do not use a weight-distributing (load equalizing)
hitch head assembly if your motor home is equipped
with the standard 5,000 pound hitch receiver. Doing
so could cause structural damage to your motor
home and will restrict your warranty coverage.
NOTE: You will need to use
a
weight-distributing (load equalizing)
hitch head assembly in order to take advantage of the increased
towing capacity of the 10, 000 lb. hitch receiver option.
NOTE: Using
a
weight-carrying hitch head assembly with the
optional
1
0, 000 lb. hitch receiver will limit your towing capacity to
that of
a
motor home equipped with the standard 5,000 lb. hitch
receiver.
CAUTION
Exceeding a 500 pound tongue weight or towing
more than 5,000 Ibs. with the optional 10,000 lb.
hitch receiver when using a weight-carrying hitch
head assembly could cause structural damage to
your motor home and will restrict your warranty
coverage.
