ADJUSTING THE REAR BRAKE

Loosen the locknut 4.
●
Turn the adjusting bolt 5 until the brake
pedal height is within the specified limits.
●
Tighten the locknut 4.
NOTE:
When adjusting the brake pedal height make
sure the locknut-to-adjusting bolt clearance b
does not exceed 2 mm (0.08 in).
●
Loosen the locknut 6.
●
Pull up the brake outer cable and turn the
brake cable adjusting (nut) 7 until the clear-
ance c is within the specified limits.
NOTE:
Make sure the pin 8 is all the way to the right
of the link plate hole.
●
Hold the adjusting nut 7 and tighten the
locknut 6.
●
Turn the brake lever cable adjuster (handle-
bar) 2 until the rear brake lever free play d
is within the specified limits.
●
Tighten the locknut (handlebar) 1.

45 mm (1.77 in)
Clearance c:
1 mm (0.04 in)
Rear brake lever free play:
0.5 ~ 2 mm (0.02 ~ 0.08 in)
