Infrared Remote Control
Name and Function of
buttons
1. Infrared Signal Transmitter
Transmits the signal to indoor unit
2. System Mode
Displays the current operating mode.
In cooling only it will operate
in Cooling - Dry (Dehumidification) -
Fan mode consectutively
3. Fan Speed Indicator
Displays the selected fan speed. Fan
speed level of Hi, Me and Lo will be
indicated
4. Clock
Displays the current time
5. Temperature Setting
Displays the temperature setting
6. Lock Key Indicator
Displays locked status of keyboard
7. Airflow Indicator
Displays swing airflow status
8. Sleep Mode Indicator
Display stuatus of Sleep Mode
9. Programmable Timing Indicator
Displays hours set for auto turn-on or
turn-off
10. Power Button
Press this button to start operation.
Press this button again to stop
operation
11. Temperature Setting Button
Press this button to increase
+
the set temperature

Press this button to decrease
the set temperature
12. HOLD Button
Press this button to lock or unlock the
keyboard
13. SLEEP Button
Press this button to change to Sleep
operation
14. FAN SPEED Button
Press this button to select fan speed
15. TIMER Programmable Button
Press this button to set automatically
turn-on or turn-off operation
16. MODE Button
Press this button to select system
operating mode. In cooling only
system, the mode is selected in a
squence of Cool Dry Fan
17. SWING Button
Press the button to activate swing
motor to distribute airflow
18. HOUR & MIN Button
These two buttons are used to set the
current time or set time (only HOUR
button) for programmable timer
operation

Control Operation

Battery: Two AAA batteries are used in
this remote control unit
Installation of Batteries
1. Remove the cover from the back of
the remote control.
2. Insert the two batteries into the slot.
(Be sure that the + and - directions
are correct.)
3. Fix the cover to the back of the
remote control.
Cautions Regarding the Batteries
The batteries can be used for
approximately one year.
Do not use rechargeable (Ni-Cd)
batteries, because such batteries
differ from standard dry cell batteries
in shape, dimensions and
performance.
Be sure to replace the batteries with
two new batteries of the same type
as each other.
Remove the batteries if the air
conditioner is not going to be used for
and extended period of time.
