SECTION 02 ENGI NE
SUB-SECTION 01 (247 ENGI NE TYPE)
REMOVAL FROM VEHICLE
Remove or disconnect the following then lift engine
from vehicle.
- Pulley guard.
- Drive belt.
- Muffler .
- Choke knob.
- Decompressor .
- Throttle cable .
- Fuel lines.
- Electrical connector .
- Separate steering column support at upper column.
- Engine mount nuts .
ENG INE SUPPORT AND MUFFLER
DISASSEMBLY & ASSEMBLY
®
Torque to 31 N. m (23 ft -Ibs).
@Torque to 35 N. m (26 ft- Ibs) .
@Torque to 22 N. m (16 ft -Ibs).
INSTALLATION ON VEHICLE
To install engine on vehicle, inverse remova l procedure.
However, pay attention to the following .
• Check tightness of engine mount nuts , @ and drive
pulley bolt .
• After throttle cable installation, check maximum
throttle slide opening .
• Check pulley alignment and drive belt tension .
