Notes
on using
DirectCD
l
When using a CD-ROM drive
DirectCD is not required to only view images on the finalized disc in a CD-ROM
drive. If you read or write images on the disc which is not finalized, you have to
connect the camera to your computer with the USB cable and install DirectCD into
your computer. For details on USB connection, refer to the operating instructions of
the camera.
l
When using a CD-R or CD-RW drive
Select one of the following ways according to the configuration of your computer.
- When a writing software is not installed into your computer, you can install
DirectCD into your computer.
- When a writing software other than DirectCD has been installed into your
computer, uninstall the writing software from your computer, then install
DirectCD. If you want to use the writing software, do not install DirectCD.
When not installing DirectCD, you cannot use the camera with the computer by
the USB connection.
l
You cannot use the CD-RW which was formatted with other equipment than the
camera. Format it with the camera again.
l
To view images on the CD-RW using a CD-ROM drive or CD-R drive, the drive
must conform to the MultiRead type.
l
When using a CD-RW drive, you can use DirectCD in the same way you would be
using a CD-R.
Note
You may not be able to use DirectCD depending on your CD-R drive or CD-RW drive.
