CAUTIONS IN SERVICING

ABS WIRING
• The ABS parts are connected to various lead wires. The cou-
pler and lead wire connections, as well as the lead wire and
wire harness routing must be done correctly. Make sure that
the proper clamps are used and positioned correctly.
NOTE:
If all of the connections are not properly connected, the ABS
may not operate correctly. For connector and coupler precau-
tions. (#SV650/SK3 4-2 and 8-2)
• When connecting meter probe from the terminal side of the
coupler (where connection from harness side not being possi-
ble), use extra care not to force and cause the male terminal
to bend or the female terminal to open.
• Check the male connector for bend and female connector for
excessive opening. Also check the coupler for locking (loose-
ness), corrosion, dust, etc.
FUSES
• If a fuse is blown, find the cause of the problem and correct it
before replacing the fuse.
• Only use a fuse of the specified rating.
• Never improvise when replacing a fuse.
