RESIN REGENERATION AND WASHING CIRCUIT
During this phase, the regeneration solenoid valve (9) and the resin washing solenoid valve (10) are actioned
simultaneously.
The water deposited in the regeneration tank (7) descends (by gravity) to the salt tank (8), which is
positioned in the base of the appliance. As the water passes through the salt tank, it removes the appropriate
quantity of salty water, then passes upwards to the resin tank (11) where it passes downwards through the
resin layer (instead of passing upwards as in the water softening phase). The water then passes down to the
resin washing water tank (18), which is positioned in the base of the appliance.
The water deposited in the resin washing tank (12) then passes by force of gravity through the resin layer
(11) where it is washed, and then descends slowly to the resin washing water tank (18).
During this phase, the breather valve (19) fitted to the resin washing water tank (18) must open in order to
allow the water to flow correctly through the circuit.
The resin washing water tank (18) is emptied during the first phase of the subsequent drain cycle.
